OLD BUSINESS/NEW BUSINESS

Maggie Brewer thanks Susan Walker for her hard work on assisting with the contract for the upcoming Training Institute.
Board then discussed different places that could be looked at for the Training Institute. Information was presented for the Blockade Runner in Wrightsville Beach. Pricing would be 79.99 for Harbor View rooms which could accommodate 2 persons, although 2 additional persons could stay at a rate of an extra 25.00 per night. Ocean Front rooms would be 99.00 per night and a Private Balcony room would be 149.00. This includes a buffet breakfast.
Pricing of meeting rooms were discussed and it appears they would be cheaper than what had been previously discussed for Sea Trails.

Tammy Braswell made a motion to rescind the previous motion made at our last meeting to postpone the Training Institute until March 2012. Susan Walker seconded. Motion Passed.

Michelle Hamby made a motion that NCPPA hold its Training Institute on November30-December 2 at the Blockade Runner located in Wrightsville Beach, NC. Eddie Wallace seconded the motion. Motion passed.

Executive Board discusses the NCPPA Constitution as it relates to the boards power to make decisions in an Emergency Situation. The recent change of the Training Institute and last minute cancellations by outside entities have had tremendous impact on having to make quick and decisive decisions as it relates to our association.

Next meeting will be held on November 3rd at Yonkers Road in Raleigh, NC.

Susan Walker made a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Brian Holbrook. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 1244 hours.

Faithfully submitted

Secretary Brian Holbrook
